Loomis Chaffee School Athletic Field Viewing Bleachers , Windsor, CT 2013-Present

The creation of a new access from the main Loomis Chaffee quad to the meadow athletic fields. A brick and concrete terraced stairway with custom wooden benches is set into a steep bank overlooking the athletic fields.  The uppermost space functions as a gathering space for athletes and families. Tube LED lights run beneath the benches to provide a subtle lighting. Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and Black Eyed Susans (Rudbeckia subtomentosa) fill the spaces between the terraces, mirroring the distant meadows.
