du Pont Residence – “Patterns”, Rockland, DE. 2003-Present

Master Plan and design of an extensive residential estate situated in a magnificent old growth forest along the Brandywine River. The design is an interconnected series of spaces and experiences unifying a modern 1960’s brick residence with both man made and natural landscape garden features. The design features include courtyards with fountains, a French Potager, walled lap pool garden, spa garden and a sculpted hillside dining terrace woven together with a sytem of path winding through the forest. This project was a unique collaboration with a client who has extensive horticultural experience and knowledge resulting in a complex and unique palette of plant material.
